In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to lift your words off the page and bring readers into your fictional world. Through discussions and exercises with TD Canada Children's Book Week Author, Shelly Sanders, you will hone your writing skills and discover the importance of showing rather than telling your story. Shelly Sanders is the author of the award-winning Rachel Trilogy.

Write2XPress Creative Writing Contest

I'm returning for my third year as a judge for this contest, where teens write short stories or poems based on a photo chosen by the Oakville Public Library. The photo isn't available yet, but you'll find it at www.opl.on.ca/teens in late August.

More details to come...stay tuned!
